Moshe Blum got his first role in the opera "Les Contes d'Hoffmann" by Offenbach, on April, 9th 1945 in Terezin directed by Hanuš Thein, where he had been sent after internment in a labour camp in Shepetikva (Ukraine), then to Jelšava (then in Hungaria) and eventually Sered in Slovakia.
